For more information about Moose Jaw Public Library's response to COVID-19, please visit our main COVID-19 page.

Q: Is Moose Jaw Public Library open?

A: Moose Jaw Public Library is closed due to concerns over the COVID-19 virus.

Q: My card is expired. What do I do?

A: Call the Library at 306-692-2787 and leave a message. We will return your call within 1 business day (excluding Saturday & Sunday). Please have your Library card number and the ID that you used to get the card (usually Driver's Licence) on hand for renewing your card.

Q: I don't have a Library card. Can I still get one?

A: Call the Library at 306-692-2787 and leave a message. We will return your call within 1 business day (excluding Saturday & Sunday) with instructions on how to get a card.

Q: Should I return the Library materials I currently have out?

A: Please keep your Library items at home. Our book drop is open...for now, but we prefer if you keep your items while we are closed. All due dates will be automatically extended and no fines will occur during this period of closure.

Q: What will happen to my holds that are waiting for me? Will they still be there?

A: Yes! Once the Library reopens all holds will be available to pick up.

Q: Can I still place holds?

A: No holds have been temporarily frozen province-wide. Although you are unable to place holds at this time, you will not lose your place in the queue on the holds that you currently have. They will be reactivated at the appropriate time.

Q: What do I do if my card is blocked because of fines and I can't use digital materials?

A: We are currently working to resolve this issue on all cards, but for now we will work on these on a case by case basis. Call the Library at 306-692-2787 and leave a message. We will return your call within 1 business day (excluding Saturday & Sunday).

Q: I've never used digital services before? What do I do?

A: Follow the links that you will find at moosejawlibrary.ca. Many of the services will walk you through setting up your account. If you require assistance call the Library at 306-692-2787 and leave a message. We will return your call within 1 business day (excluding Saturday & Sunday).

Q: Where can I find information about COVID-19?

A: We are following information from the Government of Saskatchewan and the Public Health Agency of Canada.  If you start having symptoms of COVID-19, isolate yourself from others as quickly as possible. Immediately call a health care professional or the Saskatchewan public health authority by dialing 811.  They will provide advice on what you should do.
