Do fun activities and track how much time you spend reading and listening to stories over the summer! Come to the Library and get your Summer Reading Club package starting June 15!

Maker Mornings

Ages: 8-12

Fridays, July 22 to August 26 (6 weeks)

Time: 10:30 am to 12:00 pm

Location: South Meeting Room, Moose Jaw Public Library

Join us for Maker Mornings! Kids ages 8-12 will experience hands-on learning with all the tools for creativity. They will get exposure to new ideas and opportunities to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. Registration is required.

Take 'N' Make: Crab Magnets!

Ages: 3+

August 3 to 16

Time: Open Hours

Location: Children's Circulation Desk

Make an awesome crab magnet with a seashell and some pipe cleaners!
Extension Activities:

   1. Learn about all the different types of crabs.

   2. Make a foam ocean! All you need is some foamy shaving cream and some blue             food coloring. Mix them together and let your plastic sea creatures have some fun!

Join us every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all summer long in the children's department and build a cool Lego creation to display in our window.

Baby Storytime!

Ages: 0-2 and their caring adults!

Tuesdays: August 9-30

Time: 10:30 am

Location: Children's Program Room

Come to the library for a short story, some rhymes, and songs. Grownups will learn ways to talk, sing, and play with their children to increase early reading skills. Masks are optional at our indoor storytime.

*This program no longer requires registration. Drop-ins are welcome.

Storytime in the Park

Ages: 2-5 and their caring adults!

Wednesdays: August 10-31

Time: 10:30 am

Location: Crescent Park in front of the Library

Come to the library for a fun storytime with books, songs, fingerplays, puppets, scarves, flannelboards and more. Grownups will learn ways to talk, sing, read, write and play to increase early reading skills.

Movie Matinee Wednesdays!

Ages: 0-12 and their caring adults!

Wednesdays: August 10-31

Time: 2:00 pm

Location: Moose Jaw Public Library Theatre

Join us every Wednesday afternoon all summer long for a fun movie on the big screen!

No registration required. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No food or drink permitted in the Library Theatre.

Have fun making a beautiful beaded butterfly!
Extension Activities:

   1. Take a nature walk and hunt for butterflies. Try and identify the different kinds of             butterflies and moths you see on your walk.

   2. Learn about the transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly!
