
SUMMER READING CLUB 2023
Children's Program
Who: For ages 0-12
When? Starting June 17 and running until August 31
Pick up your summer reading club bookmarks at the Circulation desk in the Library. Count the number of minutes you spend reading or listening to stories over the summer!




How to get started
-
Start counting the number of minutes you spend reading or listening to stories using your clock bookmark as a reading log.

Complete one bookmark (4 clocks = 240 minutes) and you can pick a cool prize!

Complete four bookmarks (960 minutes) and you can pick a book and put your name in the draw for a large prize!
-
Small prizes and book prizes are unlimited so you can claim these all summer long when you complete the minutes required.

You can also put your name in the draw for the large prizes multiple times when you complete the minutes required.
-
Winners of the four large prizes will be drawn at the end of summer!
You can pick up your instructions and bookmarks at the Library or download them and print at home.


Youth Program
Who: For ages 12-19
When? Starting June 17 and running until August 31
Pick up your summer reading club pamphlet at the Circulation desk in the Library. Participate in challenges, reading logs, programs, and more. Receive scratch tickets for your participation and win prizes!


How to get started

Challenges: Complete a challenge in the booklet and earn a ticket for each challenge!

Reading Logs: Read anything! (we do mean anything). Record how long you read on a reading log and earn a scratch ticket for every 2 hours read.

Program Attendance: Earn a ticket when you attend a Library program digitally or in-person at the Library.

Visiting the Checkout: Once a day you can earn a ticket by checking out anything from the Library.
Listening to audiobooks count as reading too!
You can pick up your challenge pamphlet and reading logs at the Circulation desk or download them and print at home.

Adult Program
Who: For adults 18+
When? Starting June 17 and running until August 31
Pick up your summer reading club board at the Information desk in the Library. Indulge in an adventure that only a good book can take you on. Watch a film, attend a program, or visit the Archives. There is so much you can do at the Library and it is all part of Summer Reading Club.
How to get started

Pick up your Book-opoly board and start doing the suggested activities or reading the suggested books.

Complete a colour set on the board for one ballot in the grand prize draw. Earn up to 12 ballots.

Read one book and leave a review/star rating on our "Galaxy of Reviews" wall in the Library for one entry into our weekly gift card draw.
You can pick up your Book-opoly Board and book review forms at the Information desk or download them and print at home.
