About the Program
Join us at the Library for a zine (pronounced zeen) making workshop.
In celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride month, we'll be making zines! We'll also be learning about zines, including the use of zines in various historical (and present!) LGBTQ+ and activist movements.
The Library will provide all materials including pre-cut paper, markers, pencils, stamps, weeded books and magazines for collage, glue and scissors, as well as a typewriter and our photocopier. You may also submit your finished zine to be catalogued and entered into the Library's collection as a reference item so you can admire your work!
In addition to this, there will be an eraser-stamp carving station and a button making station. We will have supplies to make a button and/or carve an eraser stamp.
This is an all-day drop-in program for teens and adults. There will also be snacks and beverages.
For more information about this program, contact the Library at 306-692-2787. You can also check out this video to learn more about zines.
