About the Program
A landmark of LGBTQ cinema, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is an exceptionally charming, uplifting and funny road movie of friendship, self-fulfillment, and standing up to bigotry. The story follows two drag queens and a transgender woman travelling the Australian Outback from Sydney to Alice Springs in a tour bus named Priscilla, and their various interactions with rural locals along the way. Written and directed by Stephan Elliott, the film stars Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce, and Terence Stamp.
Showtime begins at 6:00 and a post-movie discussion will commence about 7:45.
